Every NVUS Hearts tee is pressed by the founder in Boston, one at a time. No factory, no minimums, no bulk run. Here is what that means for the shirt that lands in the mailbox.
One press, one person
In 2024 Keith put together a spot to work in his basement and started pressing shirts himself. He still does. The press in the photo above is where every order comes off. When an order comes in, he pulls the blank, sets the print, presses it, checks it, folds it and packs it.
Why hand-pressed matters
Placement. On a bulk run the print drifts a little from shirt to shirt. When one person presses every piece, the lettering sits exactly where it should on every size, from S to XXL. The print is set to cover the full back, shoulder to shoulder, and that only works when it is placed by eye every time.
The blanks
The tees are 100% cotton, heavyweight and pre-shrunk. The hats are embroidered, not printed: an oversized patch on the front of the trucker hats and the snapback, on Richardson blanks for the truckers. The beanie carries the same patch with a sherpa lining inside.
Care
With normal care the prints will not crack or fade. The care notes are on the FAQ page.
Shipping
Orders are processed in one to three business days and ship within the United States. Standard shipping takes five to seven business days. Tracking arrives by email when the order ships.
